Air RAD 2013
The 1st Annual Air Guard Retiree Appreciation Day (RAD) was held on September 8, 2013 at the Gowen Field Activity Center (formerly the Officers Club) in conjunction with the annual Family Day event.
Over 75 retirees and many spouses were in attendance. Included in the briefings were presentations by representatives from Tricare, Mountain Home Air Force Base Legal office, Veteran Administration Advocacy, the Veterans Cemetery and the Idaho Military Museum. Following the presentations, the retirees joined the Air Guards family day festivities in the hangar and partook of a BBQ luncheon and other family day activities.
The date for the 2014 Air Guard RAD is tentatively set for 7 September. All Idaho Air National Guard retirees, spouses, widow(er)s, annuitants, and current members within six months of retirement are invited. If you haven't already signed up to be on the notification list, please do so. You can also sign up for notifications of other items of interest to the retiree community.
