Family Readiness Groups (FRGs) act a command sponsored organization of Service Members and Families belonging to a unit and as an extension of the unit in providing official, accurate command information to military families.

The Military Family and Life Consultants (MFLC) program was created in 2004 to address the needs of service members to deal with issues during times of war.
Military Family and Life Consultant counseling services are free to veterans and service members. The program's counselors hold degree's and experience in social sciences and are helpful and caring professionals.

DEERS is a computerized database of military sponsors, families and others worldwide who are entitled under the law to TRICARE benefits. Please know that DEERS registration is required for all TRICARE eligibility.

The Gowen Field J1 Personnel Services Branch can issue ID cards for members of all branches of service: active, reserve, retirees and dependents. ID cards are issued in Building 270. They are open Mon-Thurs 0930-4pm and Fridays from 0930-3pm (closed on Mondays following Unit Training Assemblies).

The installation Retirement Services Officer (RSO) is the source for information for retiring and Retired Soldiers, their Families and, ultimately, surviving spouses. Before retirement, you go to your RSO for your pre-retirement and Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) briefing. After retirement, you go to your RSO for assistance and for special program items such as the installation retiree council, the annual Retiree Appreciation Day and installation retiree newsletter.
